Coldish drizzle greeted the 8 hardy Merthyr Valley Ramblers at Dinas rock today. Walk-leader Jenny wisely decided to avoid walking up to the Foel and instead we walked alongside the Sychryd up to the waterfall and back to Pontneddfrechan where we started the climb up the waterfall river. We soon stopped for a quick cuppa then it was onwards and upwards to end up at the impressive Sgwd Gwladus. Pictures and film taken, we then made our way down to a spot of lunch on the wall of the old explosives factory. Now sodden, we decided to call it a day and we made our way back to the rock. A big thanks to Jenny for an impressive walk and to all for the great company.
